Tat Tvam Asi
This famous sentence from the Chandogya Upanishad summarizes the vision of the ancient
sages. This vision of one’s self as whole is the solution for the universal human struggle of finding a sense of completion in one’s life. The one who thinks oneself to be finite and subject to limitations is taught that in fact one is the whole, that one is free of fear and sorrow. This ancient teaching has been kept alive through the guru-shishya parampara: an unbroken lineage of knowledge transmitted from teacher to student. It transcends all duality and the boundaries of religion, ethnicity, gender and sexuality. This timeless knowledge is for all those who are ready to embark on a new and exciting journey of self-discovery, and cast aside for good the perception of themselves as subject to limitations and sorrow.
Children are welcome at this retreat and will have a separate curriculum of teaching.
Advance registration required. Please email
announcements@arshavm.org with your intent to register. Cost of the entire retreat including room and board is: approx. $175 per adult & $90 for children 6-12. (Under 5 is free.)
