ecovillage, permaculture, Ingerlise Burns, sustainability, green design, pamela anderson

The quality of instruction and breadth of material covered exceed my expectation...Living in an independent community, camping in the meadow, participating in community life and simply being in Oregon amidst so many people interested in sustainability made it an engaging fun, worldview altering experience.

Summer Permaculture and Community Course

permaculture, Melanie Knapp, papercrete, cob oven, green building, ecovillageThese last eight weeks at Lost Valley have been absolutely amazing. The community welcomes students with open arms and the intrsuctors succesfully create an environment that's both challenging and safe. Being here engages you on so many levels as a student nad as a person. Lost Valley has definitely developed thsi program in a waty that encourages holistic development and also caters to many different types of learning. The variety and skill of instructors keeps the program exciting throughout the course on an intellectual level as well as emotionally and spiritually. There is so much going on on-site and no end to things you can do outside of classtime . enjoy the many informal activities that come up when you live in a community of people like picking berries, or celebrating summer solstice, for for a hike somewhere in the beautiful 87 acres of land, stop by the farmers makret in Dexter, and so much more. What I have learned and experienced in this program has planted so many seeds and given me the courage to live the way I want to in the world. Thanks Lost Valley!

Summer Permaculture and Community Course

I came to LV with little understanding of what permaculture means. I know now after the two month PDC that I can not only articulate the way I see the world which is revolutionary compared to when I first arrived, but I can see ways where I can apply my new knowledge and experience to truly impact the people and the environment where ever I go.

Summer Permaculture and Community Course

Frances rindle, permaculture, ecovillage, ecodesign, sustainability, green

I came to Lost Valley with a knoweldge of traditional gardening and plant science, but permaculture was a term that was new to me. This 8 weeks has been revolutionary for me, showing me how I can impact my students at Carolina Friends School and prepare them to live more closely to the Earth and in community.
