Lindsay Miller -Winter PDC December 2008 She was inspired to start her own Edible Landscape Design Business in Portland, called Deep Roots Edible Landscapes. She attributes a great amount of start-up energy and confidence to her Permaculture course and for that she is very grateful. Her business focuses on transforming residential and small commercial spaces into beautiful, functional, and delicious outdoor pantries filled with fruit and nut trees, berry bushes, culinary and medicinal herbs, perennial vegetables, edible vines, groundcovers, and seasonal food plants. Her designs will enhance the aesthetics of each site, lower clients' weekly produce bill, reduce overall consumption of resources like oil and water, and improve mental and physical health.
