March Sustainability Seminar

This week long experience will give you a 'crash course' in understanding sustainability.

Day 1 presents an overview of concepts and definitions sustainability seminar at lost valleyused in discussions of sustainability.

Day 2 is an introduction to green building, both for the do-it-yourselfer and the professional alike.

Day 3 will give you an introduction to the concepts important to understanding permaculture design.

Day 4 introduces the topic of Intentional Community and eco-villages, from rural to urban settings.

The final Day will include an in-depth tour of the Lost Valley site, and participation in a community work event.

This program is mostly lecture based, bring your thinking caps and notebooks!

If you are interested in gaining more in-depth knowledge on any of these topics please look at the Camassia Programs in Permaculture Design, Eco-Village Design and/or Eco-Building.

Lodging and meals are included in the course fee.  Students are encouraged to arrive at 6pm on Sunday for dinner and an orientation before classes begin on Monday at 8am.  Class ends at 5pm on Friday; students are welcome to stay with us until Saturday for departure.
