July 27 - 31, 2009 This week we will look at the basics of community life and we will apply what we learn to the creation of our own mini-community. We will look at different kinds of communities as well as learning specific information about Lost Valley. CEW serves as an opportunity to learn about the different aspects of living in, looking for and starting communities. It is also a great event for anyone seeking to learn more about living in community. We will learn practical applications by participating in various activities and programs such as garden and permaculture, event preparation and service and sacred space. The week will culminate in a community 20th Anniversary celebration event (optional). There will also be time for roaming the land, relaxation, nature walks and integrating in other ways within the Lost Valley community. Click Here for more info and to apply. July 31 - Aug 2, 2009 Lost Valley 20th Anniversary Weekends: Lost Valley will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2009, recognizing all the growth that has happened since it was created in 1989. To honor this milestone, we are planning a series of anniversary weekends, welcoming back our past students, interns, residents, and visitors. Each weekend also functions as a culmination of a Lost ValleyCommunity Experience Week (see below). A May Day celebration will highlight our first anniversary weekend geared towards past students and intern.
