PVC PAM

(Music: POLYTHENE PAM, Lennon-McCartney) (info./disclaimers [0]) (glossary [0]) (index [0]) (gardening guide [0])

Well, you should see PVC Pam
Half her gadgets come from
Holland or Japan
With her beds draped in plastic
Her control measures drastic
Her garden makes me wonder where I am
Yeah, yeah, yeah

She doses everything twice a day
With some fungicidal foliar spray
She mixes it herself
From seven bottles on a shelf
It's organic so it must be ok
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Comments: PVC Pam is a fictitious character. For those unfamiliar with postmodern gardening-farming techniques, clear plastic is frequently used as cloche material (for season extension, warmer temperatures for subtropical crops, or protection from rain), and black plastic as a soil-warming, weed-blocking, evaporation-inhibiting mulch. Bent pipes made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) are often employed as hoop supports for plastic cloches.
