Visiting Lost Valley

There are two preferred ways to visit Lost Valley. We have free tours twice a month to see our property and find out a little bit about what we do. We also offer a 2 days/1 night (usually Wednesday/Thursday) Visitor Days once a month for those who want a slightly longer visit and a glimpse of community life through meals, an overnight, and participation in our weekly community cleaning party.

Notice: We are now in the wet winter months and that means it is off season for privately arranged visiting or volunteering. We will still offer the scheduled tours and Visitor Days as posted on the Upcoming Events calendar. However, we will not offer for visitors or volunteers to come on other days.

Free Tours

Scheduled tours start at 2 pm and are free (with an invitation to donate) to everyone. They begin at the cob kiosk near the parking lot.

Visitor Days

Visitor Days also offer free 2 pm tours, but for those staying on for the remainder: Wednesday evening dinner and activities, Thursday breakfast, cleansing and creation party, and lunch, we request a donation of $25-$75 per person or $35-$100 per family.

If you would like to come for a tour or Visitor Day overnight, please contact our Visitor Coordinator to make a reservation. Another good way to experience the community is through participating in our workshops, volunteering or interning in one of our programs. Private Tours and Visitors on Non-Visitor Days

(Closed for the winter season)

If we're available, a tour could be arranged on a different day. Visits are limited to 3 days maximum, please contact us at least 2 weeks ahead to arrange a visit, space is limited and we may not have room for you. If possible, we prefer Visitors to be here during our regular Visitor days. We are not able to accomodate drop-in Visitors, please call us ahead! Fees for Private tours and Overnight Visitors are:

 

  • $40-$60 per night for camping (bring your own tent and bedding)
  • $55-$75 per night for dormitory accomadations (bedding is $5 extra)
  • Three organic vegetarian meals per day are included in the price
  • You must contact us at least 2 weeks in advance of your planned arrival. We don't always have space available.
  • Private tours should be arranged in advance and are $10-$25 per person with a $25 minimum.

Fees are on a sliding scale.
