Volunteer with us!

We have many great opportunities for volunteers! It’s a great way to help support our education center while getting to know more about our nonprofit, community living, sustainability, and permaculture.

• INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY: Would you like to volunteer for us while living on-site? Our work-trade program includes accommodation and a possible meal plan for 15-25 hours a week. It’s a great opportunity to get involved with the community in a more profound way!

• Work Parties: many of our weekly work parties are listed on our Happenings Calendar. Land Work, Gardening, Fruit Harvesting, and Food Preservation are just a few of the work parties volunteers can attend.
  

• Garden Work Party: We specifically need help in our garden! We have work parties every week. Sometimes we arrange full day garden volunteering events! Please contact our garden manager at garden@lostvalley.org to learn more.
  

• Maintenance Team: Our Maintenance circle repairs, fixes, and maintains mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines on our property. Tasks include plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs system maintenance. If you have skills in these areas and want to help, please contact volunteer@lostvalley.org to apply for our work-trade program!

All volunteers are required to complete a liability waiver and list an emergency contact person. We will charge a $35 fee to run a background check as well.
